NYE in NYC

My favourite city gets completely ram packed at this time of year and it is marvellous mayhem!
The atmosphere through out all of the crowded streets around Times Square is electric as people wait all day in pens to see the concert and Times Square ball drop.

Many others do as I did and book a reservation with at a party in the neighbouring streets to times square. Starting the night with a 3 course meal everyone begins to get comfortable with each other before the drinks start flowing and the partying begins.

As midnight rolls around everyone will be heading out to the street for a good spot to watch the ball drop, the thousands of people around you will join in as the count down begins and you will be dazed by the dream world that surrounds.

Long after seeing in the new year - plenty of drinks and dances later - you will wander through the confetti covered streets with the atmosphere still buzzing as, of course, this is the city that never sleeps. Maybe grab a bite to eat from a street vendor and stroll back to your bed as the first day of the new year awaits.

This has been one of my ultimate buckets list checks during the New Year's Eve celebrations in 2012. I was 18 and therefore not at the drinking age so I will definitely need to re do it again now I'm 21+).

*Watch New Years Eve RomCom movie to get an understanding of how perfect it is to be here during the celebrations on 31st December

Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.

May this new year be a step forward in leading you to new adventures, new roads to explore and new successes to reach!

What was your favourite New Year celebration?
