As my favourite place in England, The walled city of Chester is a perfect place to go for cocktails with friends. Offering a choice of many bars, here are my favourites spots for a good late night beverage...

1. Kuckoo

 

Glamorous, boutique, indie rock and roll cocktail bar offering a great selection of alternative drinks personalised to your taste. Throw in the great atmosphere and friendly bar tenders who are very knowledgeable and experienced. You will find that Kuckoo will not disappoint in fulfilling your drinking needs.
Recommendation: Try a Rolo tequila shot with your cocktail to really get the fun started!

This classy establishment is your ideal home for enjoying cocktails with friends. With an extensive cocktail menu with service second to none, there is a bustling atmosphere at the weekend. For a little extra fun check out The cabinet club, this is a Secret not known to many just ask for the care taker and you will be taken away from the main bar to a hidden private room.

5. Prohibition

Get your medicine prescriptions at Prohibition... Based around the ban on sale of alcoholic beverages that remained in place from 1920 to 1933 this dark and quirky bar with blues music playing and the finest selection of cocktails will get you happily enjoying the 1920s vibe. Hidden away alongside Waikiki on Watergate street, you will have to knock on the door and wait to be let in adding to the fun atmosphere.

6. Church

enjoy your favourite tipple in this uniquely historic building. Choose your cocktails from the old testament or the new testament, if they don't take your fancy have a look at the vicars choice. If you are with a group check out the Communal Offering (2 litre pitcher to share). Their outside terrace boast a popular Bellini bar and is great for a drink in the sun or on cool nights with heaters to keep you cosy
